1 pound fresh asparagus spears
3 tablespoons Mannix Vanilla Infused Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
1 tablespoon minced garlic
1/2 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon white and freshly ground black pepper
Cut ends of washed asparagus. Place everything EXCEPT balsamic vinegar in a large zip-type bag arranging asparagus in single layer. Marinate for at least 3 hours—can do overnight. Grill or broil for 3-4 minutes—you want the asparagus to remain firm.
Cool slightly then place asparagus back in zip bag and add balsamic vinegar. Chill for at least 3 hours. Allow to sit at room temperature for 15 minutes before serving.
