Mannix Vanilla Ice Cream
We use a Cuisinart automatic frozen ice cream maker and have adapted their recipe.
Makes ten 1/2 cup servings.

1 cup whole milk, well chilled
3/4 cup granulated sugar
2 cups heavy cream, well chilled
1 teaspoon Mannix Vanilla Extract*
1/2 vanilla bean

In a medium bowl, whisk milk and sugar until dissolved. Stir in the heavy cream and vanilla. Spilt 1/2 vanilla bean lengthwise, scrape seeds into mixture and stir to evenly distribute. Turn machine on and pour mixture into freezer bowl. Let mix until thickened, about 25 - 30 minutes.  Transfer to a freezer safe container and freeze for at least 2 hours (best overnight) to set.

For an extra burst of pure vanilla flavor, sprinkle with Mannix Organic Ground Vanilla before serving.
